OUR STORY

HOW IT STARTED

India was a nation that loved playing video games but there were no hardcore games available to the masses and everyone was stuck playing hyper-casual games. 2019 was the year that the landscape changed forever. Finally, phones got more powerful and fast mobile internet got cheaper, allowing games such as PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, etc to break through. And boy, did they break through!

Now, there was a need for a platform that provided an exclusive space to bring gaming creators and viewers together. The Indian gaming community was rooting for something homegrown and we built Loco as an answer to that.

HOW IT'S GOING

In 2020, live streaming became commonplace. With lockdown underway, we saw life unfolding on live streaming. Users leveraged live streaming much more than ever before. Gaming emerged as a frontline entertainment medium, enthralling users and helping them interact with other users around the world.

Since June 2020, Loco’s monthly active viewers have grown 6x, monthly active streamers have grown 10x, and live watch hours have increased 48x! Today, highly active users spend ~1 hour daily on Loco, making it the go-to choice for the Indian gaming community.

But we have barely scratched the surface, we believe we are building a category that will define the entertainment experience for the next decade.
